Jesus asked that question of his disciples in Matthew 16, but it is a question that each of us must answer in our own hearts at some time in our lives.

For me, it was in 1988, when I went through the darkest time of my life. As I screamed for help, Jesus was there to save my life, both physically and spiritually. He didn't wait for me to clean up my act, He just waited for me to seek Him, and to believe and trust Him. I am still far from perfect, but He loves me anyway. He has also given me a purpose.

For you, it may not be a crisis in your life. It may be that when you got that big promotion or that new car it just didn't satisfy for very long...it was kind of hollow. That vacuum really can't be filled by "things." Believe me, I tried that too!

"Tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God." "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. — Matthew 26:64

Some people say that Jesus was a good man and a kind and wonderful teacher, but since He says that He is God's Son, that would make Him a crazy person, a liar, or actually who He says He is.

Jesus didn't say that He was "a" way. He said that He was "THE" way in John 14. If we're interested in eternal life, then knowing Jesus is our only option. It's not difficult. You just have to talk with Him and tell Him how much you need Him to come into your life.

Jesus invites everyone to know Him, no matter how much of a mess our lives are in. We're all sinners, but we can be made pure in God's sight only by trusting in His Son, Jesus.
